Dillion S. Phiri

Dillion S. Phiri is a multidisciplinary creative strategist, curator, and community builder working at the intersection of culture, technology, and social impact. He is the founder and creative director of Creative Nestlings, a pan-African network that connects and nurtures young African creatives through research, storytelling, and opportunity-building.

With over a decade of experience leading creative and youth-focused initiatives across Africa, Dillion has developed programs and partnerships with organizations such as the British Council, Meta, and BASA, amplifying African voices and building bridges between the creative economy and emerging technologies. His work centers on creating inclusive ecosystems that empower young people to imagine and design better futures for themselves and their communities.

Currently, Dillion is building the CRCO – a platform for planning, managing, monetizing, and growing communities, events, and opportunities in the African creative and cultural industries and beyond.

Rooted in his lived experience as a Zimbabwean-Malawian based in South Africa, he brings a Global South perspective to conversations about digital equity, creativity, and innovation. He is particularly interested in how AI can be used ethically and creatively to preserve African knowledge systems, reshape cultural narratives, and inspire new models of collaboration across the continent.
