Identifying and analyzing enduring and emerging international security issues that will confront the UN Security Council

This project focuses on the current and emerging priorities and commitments of the UN Security Council and its potential members. It identifies areas of alignment or misalignment between Council members as well as areas for potential greater common interest and collaboration to address threats to international peace and security. The project strives to highlight areas where effective Member State action can improve the use of the Council’s tools and capacities for addressing human rights, preventing conflict and harm, and strengthening mediation and international cooperation.
