Our panel of experts will discuss the varied approaches to global governance of AI and examine the risks of failing to regulate effectively. Without effective oversight, AI poses risks such as biased decision-making, threats to privacy, destabilization of labor markets, and even misuse in critical infrastructure or security contexts.

This discussion will address emerging challenges and consider pathways for international cooperation to ensure that AI’s benefits are realized without forfeiting safety, fairness, and accountability.

This webinar is jointly organized between the Stimson Center and the Washington Foreign Law Society. It is part V of the AI and International Law Series.
