The project supports Iraq’s transformation from a theater for proxy wars to a bridge-builder and center for regional interdependence by improving bilateral and multilateral relations with five key neighbors: Saudi Arabia, Iran, Jordan, Turkey, and Kuwait. Ongoing dialogue and policy development promote regional and bilateral cooperation across many areas, including security, politics, people-to-people relations, economics, energy, and environmental cooperation. The project is conducted in cooperation with the Center for Applied Research in Partnership with the Orient(CARPO),and is supported by the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the European Commission’s Foreign Policy Instrument (FPI).
