Central and Eastern European Training on Gender-Based Violence and the Arms Trade Treaty

Past
 Private Event

The Stimson Center, in partnership with the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy and the International Human Rights Clinic at Harvard Law School, hosted a four-day workshop on gender-based violence in support of effective implementation of the Arms Trade Treaty. The workshop was made available to governments from Central and Eastern Europe and sought to provide detailed guidance on how to support licensing officers when making risk assessments throughout their arms export processes. The workshop aimed to facilitate increased cooperation and exchanges of information between countries and strengthen export control policies and practices more broadly. Read from our latest report, The Arms Trade Treaty’s Gender-Based Violence Risk Assessment, here.
