Raj Verma

Dr. Raj Verma is Associate Professor at the College of International Relations, Huaqiao University. He is also Head of Research and Senior Fellow, Asia Pacific at Intellisia Institute and Series Editor of Routledge Series on India-China Studies. Dr Verma has an MPhil and PhD in International Relations from London School of Economics and Political Science. He has worked in think tanks in the UK, India and China, and also worked as an economist and consultant with a focus on emerging markets in Asia, especially India and China. His research is focused on India’s foreign and security policy, China’s foreign and security policy, Sino-Indian-US relations, Russia-India-China relations, international politics of Asia-Pacific, emerging world order and International Relations theory. Dr. Verma has published numerous articles, reports, opinion pieces and book reviews. His research has been published in journals such as The Pacific Review, Asian Perspective, Australian Journal of International Affairs, International Journal, International Politics, Asia Europe Journal, India Review and others. He is the author of “India and China in Africa: A Comparative Perspective of the Oil Industry”, Routledge, 2017. He is working on a book project on “India, China, Pakistan and terrorism”.
