Matthew Burton

Matthew has been a leading figure in government technology reform for almost 20 years. He has recruited many private sector technologists into public service, led the creation of a nationwide federal enterprise from scratch, and conceived reforms to the Intelligence Community’s information management strategy. Matthew wrote the digital training curricula for the CIA’s Sherman Kent School. He has also briefed the U.S. Senate staff on national cyber security strategy. Matthew was Employee #1 at Hadron Industries, a cyber security startup, where he held multiple roles since 2014. He is currently on leave from Hadron while he serves as Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Education.
