Kenji Nagayoshi was a Research Associate with the Japan Program at the Stimson Center. His research focuses on Japanese defense policy, the U.S.-Japan alliance, and Japan’s diplomatic engagements in the Indo-Pacific. Prior to joining as a Research Associate, he interned at the Stimson Center as a Japan Security Policy Intern, as well as at the East-West Center in Washington, where he conducted research on U.S.-Japan relations at government, local, and private levels. He holds an MA in International Affairs: Global Governance, Politics, and Security from the American University School of International Service and a BA in International Relations and Political Science from the State University of New York College at Geneseo (SUNY Geneseo).
