Stimson’s “Rising Pessimism about the China-US Relationship: Will Taiwan Benefit?” event featured on C-SPAN

Hung-Jen Wang, a Stimson Center visiting fellow and political science assistant professor at National Cheng Kung University in Taipei, talked about the future of U.S.-China relations as China attempts to expand its military presence in the South China Sea. He described his recent research interviews with Chinese and U.S. diplomats, and the impact a recent international tribunal decision against China’s growing presence in the South China Sea could have on cross-Pacific diplomatic efforts. Afterward, Mr. Wang took questions from the audience.
