Grace Easterly was the Program Coordinator and Research Assistant for the South Asia Program. She graduated summa cum laude from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a BA in International Political Economy and Security and a minor in French. Her senior thesis focused on the strategic history of Djibouti and the broader Western Indian Ocean region. Previously, Grace interned for the Environmental Security Program at Stimson, Hillary for America, and the Yemen Peace Project. While at NYU, she was the recipient of several grants for research in Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Singapore on issues in economic development and security.
