Joaquin Matamis is the Communications Specialist at the Stimson Center. Prior to Stimson, he worked as a Program Associate at Halifax International Security Forum (HFX), where he supported the planning and organization of the annual forum in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Joaquin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Diplomacy and International Relations and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Seton Hall University. Joaquin is a graduate student at Georgetown University, earning a Master of Arts in Security Studies.
