Carroll Wetzel, Jr.

Carroll R. Wetzel, Jr., is a retired international investment banker with over 20 years of experience at Dillon Read, Smith Barney, and Chemical/Chase combined.  Much of his work has been international with an emphasis in East Asia.  He currently serves on the board of directors of Laidlaw International, a transportation company, and Exide Technologies, a manufacturer of batteries. Previously, he was Chairman of Safety Components International, a manufacturer of automotive airbags, and Vice Chairman of Arch Wireless, a paging company. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Eagle Hill School in Greenwich, Connecticut. He received his PhD in political science with a concentration on China and an MA in international affairs from George Washington University, and a BA in history from Stanford University.
