The Middle East/Southwest Asia program at Stimson hosted a roundtable discussion on Iran’s Influence in Afghanistan. The discussion centered on a recent RAND study on Iranian objectives in Afghanistan, the cooperation between Washington and Tehran amid an anticipated nuclear deal and the US drawdown in 2016 and the future of Iran-Afghan relations.
