The latest in an annual series of discussions of atrocity-related indices and their applications

Professor Ben Valentino of Dartmouth College has run statistical analyses of atrocity-related lists for several years running. This year, Prof. Valentino shared his analysis of some sixteen-plus atrocity-related lists and discussed his findings against the backdrop of the still-raging war in Ukraine, new concerns about the global economy, and concerns about COVID beginning to recede. The meeting also featured remarks from Emily Sample and Nate Haken of the Fund for Peace (FFP), with Haken delivering a presentation on FFP’s new Resilience Index and its accompanying AI analytic tool.
