Stimson’s chemical weapons event cited in Roll Call on Syria’s chemical arms

Months after surrendering the last of its declared stockpile of chemical warfare agents, Syria has yet to fully come clean to the international community about the scope of its chemical weapons program, a key U.S. diplomat said on Tuesday.

As a CWC member state, Syria is supposed to fully disclose the extent of its chemical program. But that is not happening, much to the frustration of diplomats like Mikulak.

“When we look at what the Syrians have told us of what they have, there are lots of holes,” he said during a discussion at the Stimson Center.
