Kirk Lancaster

Kirk Lancaster is a Junior Fellow with the South Asia Program at the Stimson Center. His research interests include nuclear strategy and proliferation, deterrence, and Asia security issues. His prior professional experience includes time at the Department of State, the Paulson Institute, and the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Chicago with honors in both Chemistry and Law, Letters, and Society. His two senior theses highlighted his research in ultrafast laser spectroscopy and US-China diplomatic history, respectively. Kirk was a Boren Scholar in Beijing, China and speaks, reads, and writes Mandarin Chinese.
