Taiwan’s digital minister, Audrey Tang, visited the Stimson Center to discuss their work facilitating open governance and transparency in Taiwan. Much of their work focuses on creating digital tools that make democracy more accessible and new ways to combat disinformation, especially during the COVID-19 outbreak. Taiwan’s efforts to improve its digital democracy may offer valuable lessons for the U.S. and other countries.
