Fabien Laurier

Fabien Laurier is the Vice President for National Geographic Labs. In this role Fabien leads technology and innovation strategy and development across National Geographic’s Impact-Initiative. Fabien spent most of his career designing and leading programs that seek to harness the power of disruptive technologies and fuel the development of solutions to the most pressing environmental issues. Fabien served 4 years in White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and Council on Environmental Quality during the Obama administration. Prior to that, he held leadership positions at the U.S. Global Change Research Program, which includes his position as the Director of the National Climate Assessment.

Fabien received his Ph.D. in Chemical Oceanography from La Sorbonne University in Paris, France.
