Diane Flagg is the communications specialist at the Stimson Center. Prior to joining Stimson, she was a communications intern with the Global Innovation
Through Science and Technology (GIST) Initiative at CRDF Global. The GIST
Initiative builds entrepreneurial
ecosystems across the Middle East, Turkey, Asia and Africa by identifying,
coaching, and funding the most promising technology entrepreneurs. Prior to her
internship with CRDF Global, Flagg was a research intern at the Center for
Turkish Studies at The Middle East Institute. She also worked as a copy
editor and designer for two and a half years at the Santa Fe New Mexican in
Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Flagg holds a Master’s Degree in Public and International
Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh.
