Patricia “Kit” Norland, author of The Saigon Sisters and a former public diplomacy officer with the U.S. Department of State
Patricia D. Norland most recently worked as a public diplomacy officer within the U.S. Department of State. She is the translator of Beyond the Horizon and the author of Vietnam in the Children of the World series as well as author of The Saigon Sisters.
Lien-Hang T. Nguyen, Dorothy Borg Chair in the History of the United States and East Asia, Columbia University
Dr. Lien-Hang T. Nguyen is the author of Hanoi’s War: An International History of the War for Peace in Vietnam (2012), the forthcoming Tet ’68: The Battles that Changed the Vietnam War and the Global Cold War, and serves as General Editor of The Cambridge History of the Vietnam War, 3 volumes. She is currently working on a study of gender and people’s diplomacy during the Vietnam War era. At Columbia, she is the co-founder of the Vietnam Studies Program.
