General Yoshiyuki Sugiyama (JASDF, ret.), President, Japan-America Air Force Goodwill Association

General Sugiyama has been the president of JAAGA since May 2021. Before retiring from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in 2017, he served as the 34th Chief of Staff of JASDF. In his 37 year career with JASDF, he has held various positions including within the Air Defense Command and Air Staff Office.

Lt Gen Wallace “Chip” Gregson (USMC, ret.), former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs

LtGen Gregson served as the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs, and he was previously the Commanding General of Marine Corps Forces Pacific and Marine Corps Forces Central Command. He was also the Commanding General of III Marine Expeditionary Force in Japan. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relation and advises several organizations.
