Barry Blechman and Gordon Adams listed among top U.S. Defense opinion shapers

Stimson Co-founder Barry Blechman and Distinguished Fellow Gordon Adams both raised their profile in the Defense News 100 Most Influential People in U.S. Defense. Blechman went from #96 in 2012 to #85 this year, while Adams rose from #75 last year to #73. They join Secretary of State John Kerry, National Security Adviser Susan Rice and Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel on the annual list. Xi Jinping, president of the People’s Republic of China, holds the top spot.

Other notables include CIA Director John Brennan, Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Join Cheifs of Staff, Russian President Vladimir Putin and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
