While serving at the US State Department, Yozell collaborated with Prince Albert II and the Foundation to secure marine conservation commitments during the Our Ocean Conferences, create the Ross Sea Marine Protected Area in the Antarctic, reduce marine debris, and address ocean acidification. Recently, Yozell and the Foundation, through a partnership with the Stimson Center, cosponsored the Sea and City Conference during Monaco Ocean Week to promote solutions for coastal climate and ocean resilience.
“The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has a long and impressive record of advocating for cleaner oceans, marine biodiversity, and the safety of communities threatened by climate change. It is an honor to join the Board of Directors and I look forward to contributing my expertise, linking natural resource protection to economic, food, and environmental security for coastal communities and countries around the world alike,” said Sally Yozell.
“I am thrilled to see my colleague and friend join the Board of Directors of such an esteemed organization, and a Stimson Center partner, as the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Sally has remarkable knowledge and experience working to protect our oceans and coastal cities, and I know that she will be an asset to the Board and organization as they continue their successful work in this space,” said Brian Finlay, President and CEO of the Stimson Center.
