A recent report by a high-powered task force convened by the
nonpartisan Stimson Center suggests that it is not. The center issued a series
of recommendations calling for the United States to conduct a cost-benefit
analysis of the use of drones, and to improve transparency, oversight and
accountability for their use, among other things
Rachel Stohl, the project director for the Stimson report,
will speak to the World Affairs Council and guests Tuesday, July 22, at noon in
the Madison Room, 1200 SW Park Ave. Her talk, “The Future of U.S. Drone
Policy,” is open to the public. The cost is $5 for World Affairs Council
members and $10 for non-members.
