Alan D. Romberg, distinguished fellow and director of Stimson’s East Asia program, was recently featured on the Hong Kong-based Phoenix TV network’s “Peter Qiu’s Talk” show on the subject of North Korea’s plans to conduct a third nuclear test.
During the interview, Mr. Romberg discussed various aspects of the issue, including the prospect of a North Korean nuclear test, the response options for the United States, the role of China, and the possibility of resuming dialogue with North Korea. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Peter Qiu and featured China expert, Zhang Liangui, as well as North Korean business woman, Ri Ok Jin.
