Yuki Tatsumi spoke with Foreign Policy’s Isaac Stone Fish for the magazine’s blog, Passport. During their conversation, she commented on Japanese conservative leaders, including the former Tokyo governor Shintaro Ishihara, the Japanese public’s perception of him, and the issues that he had while merging with Osaka mayor TÅru Hashimoto’s Japan Restoration Party. She also compared the differences in personal background between the Tokyo governor, the incoming Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, as well as the outgoing Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda.
