Managing Across Boundaries Director Brian Finlay was published in Evolving Transnational Threats and Border Security, writing on the need to bridge the gap between the Global North’s “hard” security concerns and the human security and development challenges facing emerging and developing countries. Finlay argues that in order to effectively address these challenges, “whole of society” strategies are needed–ones that especially engage the private sector, which has increasingly become an important player in today’s interconnected world.
