Middle East/Southwest Asia
The Middle East/Southwest Asia program explores a wide range of regional issues, with a principal focus on the regional security agenda, from the Mediterranean to the Gulf. In 2013, we will continue to expand our work on the regional implications of the Arab uprisings through our project, Pathways to Progress: Peace, Prosperity and Change in the Middle East, which examines economic and security repercussions of the region's shifting political landscape. In addition, our research continues to address the challenge of Iran, the security implications of Iraq and its reintegration in the region, and issues related to stability of the Gulf Cooperation Council states. Our activities include workshops, field research, international conferences, and publications.
