New Nuclear Directions Dialogue

The New Nuclear Direction Dialogue (N2D2) explores new avenues into reducing the dangers caused by nuclear weapons by combining research and outreach. More than ten years after the Cold War, the greatest source of these dangers continues to originate from Russia, now in the form of weapons material and expertise proliferation. The tragic events of September 11th have underscored the need to address what Howard Baker and Lloyd Cutler have called "the most urgent unmet national security threat to the United States today."
