Dr. Peter Singer, director of the 21st Century Defense Initiative at the Brookings Institution and author of Corporate Warriors, will join us for a discussion on the current state of affairs and future policy options for the U.S. regarding private military contractors.  To what degree are private military contractors essential to U.S. operations abroad?  How can the U.S. government increase their oversight without detriment to other departments or agencies?  What effect are private military contractors having on the war on terror?
