Dr. Hasnain is currently a Senior Fellow at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in New Delhi. He previously served as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calicut, Kerala, and Professor of Environmental Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University. An expert on the glacier systems of the Himalayan range, he is the author of several books and more than one hundred scientific papers and Chair of the Glacier and Climate Change Commission of the Government of Sikkim.
