Ambassador Rahman was Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as Special Envoy of the Prime Minister. He served as Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Italy, Switzerland, and Tunisia, was Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, and established and was the first Head of the Bangladesh Mission to the UN in Geneva.
