After weeks of wrangling, the Turkish government has given up its resistance: early October may visit a delegation of German MP to Incirlik airbase. Ankara had made annoyance over the Armenian resolution of the German Parliament refused a permit in June. In return, apparently Berlin threatened to withdraw the 250 German soldiers who support the fight against the terrorist militia Islamic State (IS) with reconnaissance flights from Incirlik. A diplomatic way out, it became clear as the German government spokesman Steffen Seibert publicly made known, the resolution is not legally binding. At the same time stressed Berlin that stand by the statement, which condemned the massacre of Armenians during World War I as genocide. The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Thursday that Germany had met expectations.

At the top of recriminations came on speculation, America publishing nuclear weapons from Turkey to Romania. The American think tank Stimson Center said recently warned, the security of the stored on the air base Incirlik warheads is no longer guaranteed. Incirlik is located approximately 100 kilometers from the Syrian border.
