MAB Fellow Provides Insight on CARICOM and WMD Proliferation

In the last several years, the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM) has taken great strides in combating the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. One great achievement of CARICOM is its implementation of the United Nations Security Council 1540, which provides member states assistance to develop national-level mechanisms to detect and prevent proliferation activities. According to O'Neil Hamilton, UNSCR 1540 is a "new and novel" way to achieve capacity building and tackle the proliferation challenge. Read the full article.
