Book Launch: Conflict in the Global Commons
September 24, 2012
Stimson, in association with Georgetown University Press, hosted the book launch for Conflict and Cooperation in the Global Commons: A Comprehensive Approach for International Security on Monday, September 24. This compilation, edited by Scott Jasper, serves as a forum where expert contributors identify and assess ways in which actors may strengthen and maintain the global commons: the maritime, air, space, and cyberspace domains.

The event included a panel chaired by Scott Jasper and featured Paul S. Giarra, Michael Krepon, and Larry Clinton. Giarra spoke on joint operational access to the maritime domain, Krepon offered remarks on behavior and norms in the space domain, and Clinton assessed challenges in securing the cyber domain.

Jasper has edited two additional books: Transforming Defense Capabilities and Securing Freedom in the Global Commons.
