Farah Kathwari
Farah Kathwari is the Vice President of the Irfan Kathwari Foundation. She is also the founder and executive director of the Kashmir Valley Network, an association of organizations active in philanthropy and development work in the Kashmir Valley. Ms. Kathwari worked for Ethan Allen Global Inc. from 2001 to 2008, focusing primarily on media relations with the interior design industry. She was the Associate Producer for the Valley of the Saints. Set in Srinagar, Kashmir, the film has won numerous awards including the 2012 Sundance Audience Award, Grand Jury Award at Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival and the Audience Favorite at Rotterdam Film Festival.
Ms. Kathwari holds
a master’s degree in history from the University of Chicago; a bachelor’s
degree in political science from Columbia University/Barnard College, and
studied graphic design at the Parsons School of Design in New York.
